Xiaomi is taking aim at harsh laundry chemicals with its new Mijia Advanced Washer Dryer 10kg Pro. Priced at just 2,999 RMB, the machine brings a "Super Electrolysis" technology from its high-end models into a much more affordable price bracket.

Advanced Cleaning and Fabric Care

At the core of the new 10kg Pro is a massive 525mm drum, which uses a 3D cold water wash for deeper cleaning without damaging clothes.

Xiaomi also focused on fabric care, designing the system to prevent colors from bleeding between garments. It actively works to brighten whites, going beyond just lifting stains to actually preserving your clothes.

Smart Features and Automation

What really stands out is the machine's intelligent dispensing system. Built-in reservoirs for detergent and fabric softener automatically dose the perfect amount for each cycle.

Through a connected app, you can fine-tune these amounts for specific loads or fabric types. This smart dosing saves money and prevents the faded colors that come from using too much detergent, all while connecting to Xiaomi’s HyperOS smart home ecosystem.

The "So What" Factor: Electrolysis Tech Goes Mainstream

The headline feature here is Super Electrolysis Technology, previously found in Xiaomi's pricier 12kg models. This system generates active oxygen through electrolysis to dissolve tough stains, whiten fabrics, and protect colors—all without harsh chemical additives.

Xiaomi claims this tech can handle over 20 stubborn stain types, from oil and soy sauce to juice, while offering significantly better color protection than traditional washing.

The system also delivers a one-two punch for sterilization. It uses both high-temperature steam and cold-water electrolysis to achieve a claimed 99.999% removal rate for bacteria and viruses, plus 100% mite elimination, making it a great option for families or those with sensitive skin.

By including this in a sub-3,000 RMB machine, Xiaomi is challenging competitors to move beyond traditional detergent-based cleaning and making advanced, chemical-free options accessible to a wider market.
